As a licensed independent agent, I help seniors and retirees in Kentucky and Ohio prepare and plan for a healthy future. I offer several different plans to help you find the right coverage for your needs, and I can also help you plan and prepare through final expense insurance.
Medicare Supplement Plans
Description: Medicare Supplement Plans, often called MedSupp or Medigap plans, help cover some of the costs that are not covered by Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B. MedSupp plans are only offered through private insurance companies, but you must be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B to enroll in a MedSupp plan.
Ideal for: Individuals who travel often or live in different places throughout the year.
Advantages: Coverage travels with you anywhere in the United States. In addition, you are guaranteed to be able to continue on your plan year after year as long as you continue to pay your premium on time.
Medicare Advantage Plans
Description: Medicare Advantage Plans, or Medicare Part C, are plans offered by private insurance companies. Part C plans combine the coverage of Medicare Part A and Part B into a single plan, and all Part C plans are required to offer the same coverage as Parts A and B. Many Medicare Advantage plans also include prescription drug coverage as well as vision and dental benefits.
Ideal for: Individuals who want to put a cap on out-of-pocket spending and pay a single premium for all of your coverage needs.
Advantages: Medicare Advantage Plans are required by law to limit the amount of out-of-pocket expenses you pay. This means that no matter what your health care expenses are each year, you will not be required to pay more than your out-of-pocket maximum.
Prescription Drug Plans
Description: Prescription Drug Plans, or Medicare Part D plans, cover the costs of your prescription medications. Most individuals add a Part D plan to their coverage, as Medicare Part A and Part B do not cover prescription costs. Each Part D plan has its own list of drugs that it covers, and that information is provided in the plan’s prescription drug formulary.
Ideal for: Individuals who have multiple prescription medications that you take on a regular basis. Most people add a Part D plan to their coverage.
Advantages: Prescription medication costs are on the rise. The right Part D plan can help you minimize your prescription drug costs and help you control your health care budget.
Dental & Vision Plans
Description: Dental care and vision coverage are benefits that are not covered in Medicare Part A or Part B because they are not considered “medically necessary.” Some MedSupp and Medicare Advantage plans include vision and dental coverage. Individual vision and dental plans help ensure coverage and may reduce your costs to receive these services.
Ideal for: People who anticipate a high level of dental and/or vision care in your future.
Advantages: Adding coverage for these services may help reduce your health care expenses. Caring for your vision and dental health becomes increasingly important as you age.
Final Expense Insurance
Description: Final Expense Insurance is a form of life insurance that is created specifically to help prepare for end of life costs, like funerals, burials, and services. Preparing in advance to cover these costs can help you ensure that your family is not faced with an economic hardship during a period of loss and mourning.
Ideal for: Individuals who want to protect their families from paying out-of-pocket expenses for end-of-life services and preparations.
Advantages: Final Expense Insurance is often purchased out of love and protection for family members. This added insurance can provide a certain level of peace of mind knowing that your loved ones are not burdened with financial hardship in a time of grief.
